Beloved, do not imitate evil, but imitate good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen (discerned or experienced) God [has enjoyed no vision of Him and does not know Him at all].
3 John 1:11 AMPC
Yesterday at church we witnessed this first hand. We saw a young boy who was delivered a few days before and was led to the Lord but when I saw him, the Lord told me his sin and what he needed to be delivered from. God told me the boy does not know me! In other words, he does not yet have a personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. He just received the Lord a few days earlier and his conversion was not an eye opening experience but just something that happened. This kind of a conversion sometimes takes awhile before the individual figures out that they need God and how powerful he truly is!
This boy received the Lord but went right into his sin after he said he was sorry to the Lord for what he had done. God told me to tell the boy; “Do you want to get well?” “Stop sinning before something worst happens to you.”
This conversion was not from the heart. He will need to seriously look at his life and make a decision to stop his sin. So, do not imitate evil but imitate good. He who does good is of God and he who does evil is of the devil! Being saved is not about a “moment” that you received Jesus but it is about a relationship that you develope of Right-thinking, Right-motives, Right-mindset and righteous acts. Let us walk in Holiness and turn from evil and walk in the way of truth!
